Green Creations Receives
2012 Best of Syracuse Award
Syracuse Award Program Honors the Achievement
SYRACUSE December 5, 2012 -- Green Creations has been selected for the 2012 Best of Syracuse Award in the Gifts category by the Syracuse Award Program.
Each year, the Syracuse Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Syracuse area a great place to live, work and play.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2012 Syracuse Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Syracuse Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Enchanting Shopping Spot

I decided to make a quick shopping stop on my way into work today at the Enchanted Rose Garden in Penfield. The store is in a cute, little house on Penfield Road. It definitely meets my criteria for quick and easy shopping because not only is Penfield Road one of the two ways I generally go to work anyway, but the store is also on the correct side so that I don’t have to make any left turns in traffic.
The store has a wide variety of wares, including jewelry, clothing for all ages, food and food-related products, beauty products and more. And a lot of the items in the store are priced at $20 or less, which, while not crucial for this project, is good for your average shopper looking to get quality presents without breaking the bank.
I didn’t really see one single item that would work as a $100 gift for my mom, but I definitely saw some things that could make up part of a gift. They have nice selections of scarves and handbags, both of which are things my mom generally likes.
But the thing that stood out to me the most as a potential gift was an item that I was told is one of their best sellers right now.
Locally made stone cutting boards at the Enchanted Rose Garden in Penfield. These stone cutting boards are made by a local artisan and come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. They can also be cooled or warmed to suit what they’re being used for. This type of item that combines form and function while supporting both a local small business and a local craftsperson is very appealing as a gift option.
I’m still looking around, but I’m definitely starting to form some ideas about what I might get my mom.http://blogs.democratandchronicle.com/shoppingguys/?p=743
